Corridor Z is a running game akin to Temple Run, where your goal is to survive the night. The characters have been locked in their school and each night they leave the classroom to scavenge for supplies and weapons.

At the start of each run, you’ll choose what character you want to play and the perks you want to bring, and you’ll be able to see the missions you have to complete. After that, you can start running through the level.

As you run through these levels, you’ll be met with “bosses,” such as the zombie football team or the lunch lady. You can fight the bosses and normal zombies by using a gun, my favorite being the shotgun. You can also slow them down by knocking over obstacles.

At the end of each run, you can back out to grab upgrades and daily resources.

I actually suck at this game, but I enjoy playing it regardless because it’s so simple. The art style sets the tone nicely, and although there isn’t too much to do, I found myself letting my eyes glaze over during each run. This wasn’t a bad thing in this context. I find myself drawn to Corridor Z when I want to let my brain rest for a bit.

Corridor Z will be receiving a rating of…

Rating: 3 out of 5.

This is a fantastic game to pick up and play when you want to kill some time. None of the gameplay systems are too involved and the game runs beautifully on the PlayStation 5.
