Before diving into this review I did play through 5 episodes of this game before I couldn’t stomach it anymore. Be sure to check out my project by clicking the link below.
Simulator games are among some of my favorites. I find them to be extremely relaxing, but if you scroll through the PlayStation store right now, you’ll find people taking advantage of this genre in droves. I didn’t have many expectations going into Collectible Cars Shop Simulator; however, it feels old in the way that more polished simulators don’t. The overuse and overabundance of AI don’t help either.

The mechanics are exactly what you might expect from a simulator game. You sell toy cars, get a new product to sell, and repeat the process. Currently, there isn’t much to work towards. Not that I would want to, because AI made me put this game down.

Everything, from the way the cars look to the stickers slapped on them to make them look unique, to the paintings on the walls, is AI-generated. I wouldn’t be too bothered, but everywhere you look, the AI is screaming in your face.
As for the game’s mechanics, it feels like the game is in a beta. There is no storage room, and decorating is a pain. Nothing feels fluid in this game, and it clearly needed more time to cook.

It’s a shame, too, because the concept is really fun. You can run events inside your store and watch people race their toy cars. You can sell comics, tracks, and even open car packs! But everything else, including the customization, is so bare bones.
Collectible Cars Shop Simulator will be getting a Bronze Token. This one needs more updates.

– Unfleshed out mechanics that feel far behind other simulator titles.
– Everything is made with AI.
– The only thing that makes cars look different aside from body and color is the AI stickers. This makes opening car packs extremely boring.
