Please note that I got a key to review this game from Key Mailer but that did not impact my review.
This one is really hard for me to talk about because of how much I liked the idea. In Stuffed, you play as a teddy bear who has to defend a young girl from monsters at night. It’s such a good idea, and I am sincerely surprised that it isn’t done more often. With that being said, Stuffed is boring, bland, and barely fulfills the concept. You can play with up to 3 friends, but I decided to play this game solo.
The enemies are cool; each one is based on a toy and a garden gnome. There is also a nightmare enemy that appears, which has an excessive amount of health. The goal of the game is to keep these enemies off the bedroom door. These enemies have no hit detection, but at least offer cool sound effects. But seriously, that’s where it ends for the enemies, which I can’t stand. It makes it feel like you’re barely shooting at anything.
There is no good sound design at all. When you purchase things, you can barely hear it. When you swap weapons, you’re given no feedback. Feedback is a constant issue, and so is the sound design.
The gameplay loop itself is awful. You have to run back to each weapon to get more ammo, which more often than not will get you killed. The door is far too fragile in every difficulty, and the random generation of the map is one of the worst concepts of map generation that I have seen this year. The thing is, this game is older and, as far as I can tell, has not received any updates. It was released with bad hit recognition, bad map generation, and bad sound design. For those reasons, I have nothing further to say.
Stuffed is getting a Bronze Token

As far as I can tell, Stuffed was simply released in an unfinished state. While I never ran into bugs, I find the way that this game plays to be boring.
