Honestly there are a lot of trailers that caught my eye so it was hard to break this down.
Honorable Mentions
Night Swarm
This is not the kind of game that I tend to play but 2025 saw me trying more and more kinds of games. This trailer does look interesting so I am curious to see where this game goes.
Kicking off the pre-show, Night Swarm is available now. This is a “bullet heaven” Vampire Survivors-like where you summon dark allies and tear through your foes.
Sol Shogunate
This is such an interesting premise.
amurai space opera Sol Shogunate kicked off the main show. It’s a story of vengeance, steel, bioceramic and blood. Carve your way through rival clans and fight deadly bosses to a banging J-rock soundtrack.
Nutmeg!
Wow so Nutmeg! really looks like quite the game. I have never seen anything like this before and can’t wait to play it.
Nutmeg! sees the beautiful game reimagined as though you’re a kid playing with trading cards. It’s a unique spin on football for players who prefer to strategize than kick a ball about.
5. Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War
Loved this trailer and I highly look forward to killing bugs. The reason this one only hit my number 10 spot is because the trailer was basic. Themed really well but basic. That being said I am a huge fan of the retro look. Abiotic Factor made me fall in love with it and I crave more of the same style.
This world premiere reveal comes with an announcement from actor Casper Van Dien. General Johnny Rico returns in Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War, a fantastically retro FPS game that lets you take the fight back to the Arachnid menace.
4. Queen’s Domain
Here we got with the retro again and I am here for this. Seriously this one looks like a game that I could sink my teeth into.
Queen’s Domain is a first-person RPG inspired by the likes of King’s Field. This will send you straight back to the mid 2000s in the best way possible, so make sure you’ve packed a health potion and your best sword when you set out to find your father on the shores of the Isle of Neasied.
3. Tamer Town
Alright so Tamer Town didn’t have a super creative trailer or anything and in my opinion the trailer didn’t do this game any justice. But I liked the creature designs that I saw and can’t wait to see more.
Raising your critters isn’t just about training and battling, they also need a good environment to thrive in. That’s why in Tamer Town, not only do you catch and fight your Mokiton, but you build them a cosy place to call home.
2. Halloween
Halloween is one of my favorite horror franchies of all time. I really want this game to be an enjoyable experince that doesn’t die out in 6 months and if it does I hope the single player is good. I am really rooting for this game.
Michael Myers is back to terrorize another quaint little suburb. Only this time, you could be Mike! Halloween is a new asymmetric multiplayer game coming September 8, 2026.
1. Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival
Hellraiser is awesome. It ranks number 2 on my top 10 favorite horror franchies of all time. There is no horror game or upcoming release for that matter that has me coutning down to the release date like Hellraiser: Revival.
